12 Jan MLK Day of Service – Spend it in CincyParks
“Everybody can be great because anybody can serve.” – Martin Luther King Jr.
Martin Luther King Jr once stated that, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, what are you doing for others?” That is why every year, on the third Monday of January, we set aside this day of remembrance. We do this to reflect on the sacrifice of Dr. King and to give back and help better our communities. Americans across the nation honor his legacy by giving their time to make the world a better place, one gesture at a time.
For Cincinnati Parks, MLK Day of Service marks the beginning of a new year for volunteer opportunities. Volunteer service has a huge impact on our park system. Supporting our staff helps improve our natural environment and provides beautiful and safe spaces for communities to connect with nature as well as one another. We believe it is important to provide opportunities that welcome the support of volunteers. Without your help and dedication, the parks would not be what they are today. On behalf of parks, we want to thank you for everything you have done throughout the years, and can’t wait to see you at upcoming volunteer events.
