In accordance with the recommendations provided by the Cincinnati Health Department to limit unnecessary in person meetings due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases in the city, the September 9th Urban Forestry Advisory Board meeting will be held virtually. The meeting can be watched in real time by livestreaming on the Cincinnati Parks YouTube Channel (livestream not available until meeting called to order).
The Urban Forestry Advisory Board (UFAB) is responsible for advising the Director of Parks on the establishments of appropriate urban forestry programs, regulations, and the planning, promotion and guidance to the urban forestry program.
The Board is comprised of nine representatives from the following: two from the Community at Large, two from the Green Industry, two from the Business Community, and the City Planner, City Engineer, and City Architect. The City positions are permanent; the other six positions are appointed by the City Manager and serve four-year terms.
The UFAB meets at least six times per year, elects its officers and adopts its own operating procedures consistent with city practice and policy.
