Cincinnati’s Best Summer Nature Day Camps!

These days of cold temperatures will eventually end and turn into the sunny, warm days of Summer!  So think warm thoughts…think SUMMER CAMPS!

Each year, our camps are voted “Best of the City” by Cincinnati Magazine, “Best in Parenting” by Cincinnati Family  magazine  and by YOU for the best value in educational, fun-filled outdoor activities.
NEW THIS YEAR for our campers wanting to expand their creative minds:  “Star Wars: Going Rogue!” at Trailside; “Pokémon” and “Narnia: Prince Caspian” at LaBoiteaux Woods.
NEW LOCATION THIS YEAR for our Westside families: NatureCamps and Preschool Discovery Mornings at Mt. Airy Forest. A live birds of prey show and guest presentations by the Cincinnati Police will be a highlight of this NatureCamp in Mt. Airy Forest..

In order to keep the camp registration process as smooth as possible for our increasing numbers of camp parents and to be fair to all, we would like to inform you of our policies:
* You will receive the online registration link on January 24. The link will go live at NOON the next day, January 25 to over 17,000 park patrons on our public mailing list. It is a first -come, first-serve online registration.  Many of our camps fill early!

–         * Camp registrations are NON-REFUNDABLE and only transferable to the immediate family.  Please only register for the camps your child can attend and which do not conflict with other summer plans you may have.

         * Children must be 5 AND entering first grade to attend any age appropriate camp from 9:30am – 3:00pm. This ensures they have the energy to enjoy all of the activities during these outdoor camps.

*  Please note camps that limit the number of weeks that a child can attend such as NatureCamps Out in the Parks, Preschool Discovery Mornings, Urban Safari at Trailside and several camps at California Woods.  Campers that are registered for inappropriate age camps or more than the noted maximum number will be contacted by the Explore Nature! main office.

* Due to the popularity of our camps, we will keep a wait list but please recheck weekly for openings that may occur in previously sold out camps.

* Cincinnati Parks appreciates that each child is different in their growth and development.  If you have questions about the suitability of a camp for your child, or if your child has a developmental disability or behavior challenge that you think may limit their ability to fully integrate at camp, please contact the Explore Nature! office at 513-321-6208.
Here is your 2017 Summer Camp Preview so you can coordinate your summer plans now before online registration begins. Feel free to contact our main office at 513-321-6208 if you have any questions.  We look forward to another year of successful and rewarding experiences at Summer Camps for your children…our campers!
