Hatching Spring Blooms Spring Show

Greet the new spring with bountiful blooms and fragrant flowers in a bright and colorful pastel palette with an overall theme of exceptional egg designs. Terra cotta pots painted in muted geometric patterns border beds of fresh green grass, cheerful yellow daffodils, fragrant purple hyacinths and fluffy pink hydrangeas. Take a stroll through the flowers arranged in patterns reminiscent of the painted planters and discover the hidden forest paths lined with stepping stones and moss. A canopy of pastel painted branches is suspended above a dozen trees decorated with hundreds of painted eggs to celebrate the coming spring. Start your new year with the sparking colors, invigorating smells and chic designs found in the Krohn Conservatory Hatching Spring Blooms floral show. Tuesday through Sunday (closed Mondays) 10 am. – 5 pm. $4.00 adults $2.00 children (4 and under free)

Maple in Mt. Airy

Transportation is provided from the lodge to the Arboretum where you will interact with costumed sugar makers from the past. Along the way, taste maple sap, tea and sugar. Join in as we simulate how trees produce sugar and discover how people have tapped into this sugar source over the centuries. A free pancake breakfast is provided before your program begins.
